Note that not ALL of the characters on this list are filled yet--if they never will, it'll be noted, but otherwise, they'll be figured out before we reach them, don't worry!
Additionally, some characters have more than one role, in a sense--this is very rare, and generally because one or the other vanishes soon after the role is filled.
Names are shown in the following template:
'Starforce Character (Dub Name) --> Zexal Character (Alternate Name in AU/Name in Canon) --> Zexal muse's Wave Change'
Additionally, some may have a '-- (Name) --> (Name)' beneath them. This is for muses who gain Wizards later in the series, but otherwise don't wave change with them.
If you have suggestions for the blank ones by the way, don't hesitate to say so! As it is, this page will be your guide to what character is who, and that characters role in the series. Be careful though! This sheet covers the entire series as a whole, including the details on characters such as Subaru; not everything listed beneath a name will necessarily have happened yet in Astral's world! Overall, this is more a reference for those unfamiliar with the Megaman Starforce series.
Many thanks to Gale (em-exceeds-change-zearu) for compiling the vast majority of this information!
Hoshikawa Subaru/Rockman(Geo Stelar/Megaman)----->Tsukumo Astral and Yuuma (Yu-UMa)----->'Zexal'
Subaru is the main protagonist of the Ryuusei no Rockman series, and grows from a lonely, socially aversive ten-year old into a hero who inspires courage in others as he strives to protect those he holds dear. He is mature for his age, and has a rather serious bent-however, he does still enjoy having fun. He enjoys fiddling with technology, and his life's dream is to become an astronaut and go into space. Subaru, after the death of his father when he was seven, cuts off friendships with others in an attempt to shield himself from the pain of losing people, going so far as to quit going to school and being home-schooled. After finding friends, however, he begins discovering the power of bonds (first game), the way that courage connects the world (second game), and how friends can support you through loss (third game). He Denpa-Henkans with War-Rock to become Rockman (Megaman), eventually recorded as Transcode 003.
War-Rock was originally from the Planet AM, however, when Planet FM, a neighboring planet, destroyed it, he lived on FM, becoming one of its strongest soldiers in an attempt to get close to the FM King, Cepheus, and exact revenge. He was able to steal the key to it's strongest weapon, Andromeda, and escaped to Earth. He met Subaru's father, who the FM king had captured due to feeling threatened by his offers of forming a Brotherband between FM and Earth; and agreed to turn him into Denpa waves so that he could escape. War-Rock was separated from him when attacked by Taurus. On Earth, he meets and befriends Subaru, eventually deciding to live permanently on Earth with him. War-Rock is a go-and-get 'em kind of alien, with little patience and always ready to, in his words, "go buck wild". He gets overexcited over many things, and his character greatly contrasts with the quiet Subaru. He learns kindness from the boy, just as Subaru learns courage from him.
Hibiki Misora(Sonia Strumm)/Harp Note----->Hoki Ena and Cathy(CAT)----->Kyatto Note
Misora is a young starlet who is famous for her singing and later on, her acting. She originally sung songs for her sick mother, and went to an audition on her mother's request. She always sung for her mother's sake, however, when her mother died, Misora felt that her songs had no purpose, and was furious with the manager for using her and her mother's songs for money. She soon broke down, not wanting to sing any longer, and ran off the day of a concert. She was discovered by Subaru (who knew nothing about her due to being an emo-tastic recluse) and he agreed to help her hide, however, she was soon found out and taken back by the manager. Her desperation over her songs being used made her an easy target for an FM-ian, Lyra, who persuaded her into harming "all the nasty people who would dirty your songs". Subaru and War-Rock stop them, and Subaru and Misora bond over the pain of lost parents, and become each other's very first Brother. They both make each other a promise to get stronger-Misora temporarily quits singing in order to find herself as a person, and promises her fans that she will come back because of their support, and Subaru finally brings himself to go to school. Misora and Subaru continue to be close friends, and it's hinted that they may have a crush on each other. She supports him in battles, often coming to his rescue when he is trapped. She Denpa-Henkans with Harp to become Harp Note (Lyra Note), eventually recorded under Project Transcode as Transcode 004.
Harp is the FM-ian who possesses Misora, and after being defeated by Subaru and War-Rock, she promptly decides that she doesn't want to go back to FM, and decides to stay with Misora. She often likes to tease War-Rock (who complains that he and women never get along), and has a chipper, spunky personality. Her powers lie in the manipulation of sound waves and music.
Shirogane Luna/Ophiuchus Queen (Luna Platz/Queen Ophiuca)------>Kamishiro Rio and Ophiuchus(Ophiuca)----->Ophiuca Priestess
-- Vogue-----> 'Aurora' (Aurora Wing)
Luna is the president of the fifth grade class that Subaru should have been attending in the first game, and in the beginning of the series, appears to be nothing more of an annoyance, constantly pestering Subaru to attend school in order to improve her reputation as class president. She has a crush on his alternate persona, Rockman. Despite her vapid actions, she does prize her friendships highly, often the one assuming control and giving a good round lecture to snap her depressed friends back into reality. Her deeper, more sensitive nature is hidden by her large ego. When her parents decided that her school and friends were no good for her, and agreed to transfer her to a private school without her consent, Luna broke down, frustrated with her parents for treating her like their doll. This made her an easy target for an FM-ian, Ophiuchus, an FM-ian who controls snakes. She Denpa-Henkaned with Luna to create Ophiuchus Queen. After being defeated by Rockman, she finds his secret identity, and soon becomes one of Subaru's closest friends, supporting him from the sidelines with her strong words and even stronger faith.
In the third game, she obtains a Wizard called Vogue (who she cannot Denpa-Henkan with, as Vogue is a Support Wizard). Vogue resembles a bunny in a hat, and seems to have quite the gossipy and nosy nature.
Ophiuchus is one of the strongest of the FMian warriors with her ability to control snakes, but is by no means loyal to the FM King. On managing to find out War-Rock's location and draw him out as Rockman, she proceeds to try to negotiate with him in order to work together with him to take over FM. On his refusal, she fights, but once she's defeated, she attempts to flee with Luna regardless. Only Gemini choosing to delete her from afar keeps her from doing so. She's revived again to guard the FM King on Peace, but is deleted once more and not seen again. Her residual data is reawakened in Luna by Hyde in order to defeat Megaman, but is deleted once again.
Ushijima Gonta/Ox Fire(Bud Bison/Taurus Fire)----->Kiraku Souhachi (Gilag) and Tetsuo----->Iron Fire
Gonta is one of Luna's loyal friends who constantly pesters Subaru to come to school. He prides himself on his strength. Subaru unintentionally shatters that pride when War-Rock gets annoyed with Gonta's bugging and forces Subaru to punch him, knocking him to the floor. This has Luna threatening to cut off their BrotherBand, which worries him. He fears that without his friend, he'd be back to being a nobody, being alone. Ox takes this opportunity to Denpa-Henkan with him, becoming Ox Fire and telling him to show Luna his power. After being defeated by Rockman, he apologizes to Luna for all the trouble he's caused, and soon also becomes a fan of Rockman, seeing Rockman as a role model. He and Subaru soon become great friends. In the second and third game, a residual wave of Ox is driven mad, causing Bud to revert back into Ox Fire. In the third game, the residual wave of Ox becomes Bud's Wizard in gratefulness for Bud housing him, and Bud slowly learns to Denpa-Henkan throughout the course of the third game, becoming another powerful ally as Transcode 005.
Ox is known as the physically strongest of the FM-ians, and attacks by charging attacks and spitting flames. He is by no means the smartest, and prefers to charge ahead, which makes him easy to defeat even for the then newly formed Rockman. After being reawakened for the second time in the third game, he becomes Gonta's Wizard, and proves to be a strong ally.
Saishoin Kizamaro(Zack Temple)----->Durbe
-- Pedia----->Mach (holding 'Holy Lightning Books')
Pedia is a support Wizard that Kizamaro obtains just before SF3. He calculates statistics, and also keeps the data for the warehouse of information that Kizmaro keeps in his Hunter VG (affectionately called the "Zackpedia" in dub). He cannot Denpa-Henkan, but it doesn't stop him and Kizamaro from practicing poses in the mirror.
Utagai Shinsuke/Cygnus Wing (Tom Dubious/Cygnus Wing) -------> Okudairia Fuuya and ESPer Robin (Cygnus)------> 'Esper Cygnus'
Utagai is one of Amachi's subordinates at AMAKEN, and starts out as a very distrustful and doubtful character. Having an old boss act as his only friend, only to betray him and steal his invention idea, colored his view of society and made him reluctant to pursue any sort of friendship. Cygnus manages to take advantage of this to take over his body, and it takes a combination of Rockman beating him down and Amachi showing Utagai the depth of trust he has in him in order to drive Cygnus out. In the third game, he's seen hanging around in WAZA with Amachi, and has kept Cygnus as his Wizard, registered as Transcode: 020.
Cygnus is a swan-shaped FM-ian with vaguely bird-themed abilities-he can fly and attack with feathers, as well as control small birdlike minions to attack. His Swan's Dance can pull others into dancing beyond their control. After being deleted in the first game, his remnants are reconstructed as Utagai's Wizard in the third game, and he helps the man with his work.
Hasami Chiyokichi (Claud Pincer)/Cancer Bubble -------> *as himself, but resembles Tokonosuke* and Tokunosuke (Cancer) ------->Cancer Flip
An optional boss, Claud often appears in the Big Wave card shop, and challenges Rockman to a battle whenever he can. It's implied that he's a bit of a rude and snippy sort of person, which led to him being friendless and lonely. This led to him being approached by Cancer, but neither one of them seem to be interested in chasing down War-Rock for the Andromeda Key.
Cancer himself doesn't seem to have much of a personality, as he doesn't really speak up when Claud talks. He's able to attack via firing his own claws or bubbles, occasionally pulling out a tidal wave for a more impressive attack. The anime puts him down as slightly silly and incompetent.
Ogami Juurou/Wolf Forest (Damian Wolfe/Wolf Woods) ------> Alit and Kotori (Wolf)------> Wolf Meadows
Another optional battle in the first game, Ogami is a gardener with a surprising amount of bloodlust. He has a fighting spirit that almost rivals his own partner's, and especially gets riled up if he sees the full moon. Thankfully, he's not interested in taking the Andromeda Key, but it doesn't stop him or Wolf from challenging Rockman to battle. In the third game he's hired as the gardener for Subaru's school, and subsequently manages to hold off Jack Corvus from attacking everyone on the school roof until Rockman's able to fight his way through the Noise Waves (and Burai) to get there.
Wolf is an FMian with a fighting spirit and bloodlust of his own, and fights using slashes and streaks of energy that come from his claws. On seeing the full moon, he goes beserk, attacking faster and with more damage. In the third game, he's Ogami's Wizard (oddly enough, he serves as the more level-headed of the two), and the two are registered as Transcode: 011.
Ikuta Michimori/Libra Balance(Mitch Shepar/Libra Scales) --------> *As himself, but resembles an adult Takashi* and Takashi (Libra) ------> Libra Code
Mitch is Subaru's homeroom teacher. He emphasizes the importance of real life experience, and doesn't put too much stress on academic achievement-this however, opposes the stringent standards put up by the school's principal. He's forced to make a choice on whether to choose his ideals or whether to conform and be able to support his kids on his job, and Libra comes in to take advantage of this. Rockman manages to defeat him before his overuse of the Study Wave ends up causing severe psychological damage, and afterwards he resigns from the school. A petition from the students brings him back, however, and he still is Subaru's homeroom teacher come the third game.
Libra is a FM-ian with control over fire and water, but other than having a penchant for presenting things in a black/white-must choose A or B scenario, he doesn't have much of a personality to speak of. He does not reappear after being defeated twice by Rockman during the course of the first game.
Jean Couronne Velmond Jour Jovonne XIV/Crown Thunder -------> 'Takao' (Prince of Alit's Legend) and Crown --------> Gladiator Crown
The third optional boss of the first game, Jean is unique among the Denpa-Humans, as he's...already dead by the time Crown finds him, or rather his spirit. A French king who died when his boat sunk near Netopia, his spirit is restless and refuses to pass on until he can die in battle, as demands his family tradition. Thankfully, Crown doesn't seem bothered with the Andromeda Key, so a battle with Rockman is little more than a friendly spar. He's presumably able to pass on after being defeated by Rockman, as he is no longer seen after the first game.
Crown himself doesn't display any sort of personality, nor does he speak in the first game. Despite being an aftergame boss with some skill to him, the anime portrays him as a weak FMian who enjoys preying on the weak, and is rather foolish to boot. Crown does not reappear after the events of the first game.
Futaba Tsukasa/Gemini Spark White (Patrick "Pat" Sprigs/Gemini Spark White)----->Vector/'Ray' and 'Gemini'----->Gemini Spark White (Vector)/Gemini Spark Black ('Ray')
Tsukasa is another friend of Subaru's. He seeks Subaru out on the premise that he believed Subaru would understand his story. As an infant, he was abandoned in a junkyard by his parents and left alone for most of his life. Subaru was the first and only person to hear this story out, and he offers Tsukasa to be his Brother (which is highly significant, as this is the first time he has asked someone to be his close friend). However, Tsukasa claims he has another secret, which he fears will make Subaru hate him, and asks him to give him one day to decide whether to tell Subaru or not. The secret is that due to the trauma of being abandoned, he developed an alternate persona, Hikaru, who personified Tsukasa's emotions of rage, and amplified it from rage at their parents to rage at the world. Tsukasa struggles with his alternate persona, and at first decides to be Subaru's friend. However, when telling Subaru of his decision, Hikaru rears his head and persuades Tsukasa to betray Subaru, turning on him and making an alliance with Gemini, the FM King's right-hand man. Their Denpa-Henkan is quite unique, as they end up splitting into Gemini Black and Gemini White-Black being Hikaru and White being Tsukasa. This betrayal rattles Subaru to his core and causes him to temporarily cut off his fledgling Brotherbands. However, Tsukasa comes back later on, defending Subaru against Gemini as an apology to him for his betrayal. In the second game, the Geminis are friendly, optional bosses, as Tsukasa wants help with repressing Hikaru, and after the third optional fight, seems to have near perfect control of him. In the third game, he is no longer there, the only explanation being that he is "gone", and his empty seat later replaced by Jack.
Gemini is the right-hand man of the FM King, and a powerful antagonist during the first game. He has power over electricity, and can call forth powerful lightning strikes. He used the FM King's paranoia against him, persuading him that every offer of friendship was simply a method of getting close to him to delete him, and the young king easily believed him, having already been on the receiving end of many regicide attempts. Through him, the King destroyed AM and nearly destroyed Earth, however, he was deleted twice by Subaru and War-Rock.
The Satellite Admins/Sages of AM: Pegasus Magic -----> V/Chris Arclight; Leo Kingdom -------> IV/Thomas Arclight; Dragon Sky ----------> III/Mihael Arclight
The three Sages of AM were regarded as the three strongest and wisest AMians on the planet before it was destroyed. It was rumored that they had departed the planet, but no one was aware of where they had gone until it was realized that they were the administrators of the three satellites that monitored Earth's Wave World. They worked with Daigo to create the BrotherBand, and are the ones who test Subaru's strength of his bond and his will to protect them before giving him the power of the Star Force. After the events of the first game, they depart with Cepheus to assist in rebuilding Planet AM with other remaining survivors hiding away on other planets. In the third game, they direct Rockman's attention to the crisis surrounding Planet FM.
FM King Cepheus ------> Tron
Cepheus, as a child king born with great power (enough to merge the real and wave world around him in a twisted dimension by his mere presence alone), has faced assassination attempts ever since he was young. As such, he has grown distant and refuses to trust anything other than his own paranoia and fear. As such, Gemini manages to feed into this fear, and easily manipulates the king into destroying Planet AM when they offered a hand in friendship, instead allowing the king to see it as a trick to get close as attack. The same happened to the space station Peace in an attempt to form a BrotherBand. When he eventually manages to find Earth and threaten it with Andromeda, Rockman steps up to defeat it. As it's driven to its last dregs of energy, it goes berserk, ignoring Cepheus' commands and instead attempting to consume everything in its path-including the young king himself! Rockman manages to destroy Andromeda before it eats the king, and so Cepheus immediately admits defeat once his weapon is gone. However, Rockman chooses to spare Cepheus' life instead, offering a hand of friendship. War-Rock admits that hanging out with Subaru has rather extinguished any desire of revenge, and points out that if he had enough power to destroy Andromeda, there really is no reason for him to betray Cepheus for gain. Cepheus eventually does accept the offer and accepts Subaru as his first Brother. He leaves with the Satellite Admins to rebuild AM as a way to atone for his past deeds.
In the third game, his planet is under attack by Sirius, who threatens to swallow it up in his black hole server. His character development shows when his first response is to evacuate his people and call on his Brother for help-and even when Rockman comes, he cautions him to flee instead, as he's reluctant to put his first friend in danger.
Andromeda --------> Numeron Code
Andromeda is the superweapon developed by Planet FM. Activated by the Andromeda Key and controlled with the FM King's controller, it is a hulking behemoth with only a ball of loneliness at its core. That loneliness drives it to consume whatever other denpa beings it can in a vain attempt to fill that void. It has two forms, one as a giant dragon like head, the other as a humanoid being that exposes the core of loneliness to attack. Destroyed by Rockman in the first game.
Hoshikawa Daigo (Kelvin Stelar) ------> Tsukomo Kazuma
Daigo, as Subaru's disappeared father, provides a lot of indirect encouragement and motivation to grow as a person, via sayings of his repeated to Subaru via his mother or Amachi. A man who believes strongly in the power of bonds, he worked together with the Satellite admins to create the BrotherBand, before departing on the space station Peace three years prior to the first game's event in an attempt to communicate and make a BrotherBand with extraterrestrial life. Due to the FM King's paranoia, the space station was destroyed and he was put up for execution, but he managed to escape thanks to War-Rock turning him into waves. He was found later in Meteor G, putting all his strength into holding back the giant Noise meteor from hitting the earth, and finally managed to return home two weeks after the events of the third game.
Hoshikawa Akane (Hope Stelar) ------> Tsukomo Mirai
After Daigo's disappearance, Akane has been left to raise Subaru by herself. She tries to be a supportive mother, and raises her son with a very open-minded, relaxed sort of style of parenting. She worries about her son's odd behavior at times, and while she does become suspicious at what he's doing at times, Subaru and War-Rock manage to conceal their identity as Rockman from her until she's informed by Heartless near the end of the third game of his true identity. Even then, she supports her son, and notes frequently how much like his father he's getting.
Amachi Mamoru (Aaron Boreal) ------> Kibou (No. 39 Kibou Ou Hope)
Amachi was one of Daigo's co-workers, and saw him as someone to look up to. As such, on Daigo's disappearance, he eventually leaves NAZA/WAZA in order to create his own laboratory/museum hybrid institution, AMAKEN, designed on not only making scientific discoveries, but educating the masses as well. He's the one who gives Subaru his Visualizer, the device made by Daigo that allows Subaru to see the Wave World. He tries to act as a substitute father figure to Subaru, and tries to encourage him into going to school and making friends again. His technical prowess has aided Subaru from time to time, whether via fixing up or investigating an item for him, or introducing him to others in the field who can assist him in a greater capacity.
Goyuda Heiji (Bob Copper)
A member of the Satella Police investigating the strange events happening throughout the games, he spends most of the first game checking for details about the FMian invasion. He's revealed to be extremely competent despite being out of his league dealing with an alien invasion, as he correctly deduces that the "Z-waves" he keeps detecting are produced by alien lifeforms, and has self-made technology that is far ahead of its time and able to repel Z-wave effects. Thanks to his competence, he ends up being some trouble to Subaru and War-Rock, who are trying to keep their activities secret. He suspects Subaru in being involved with the events throughout the first game, and while his suspicion has not ebbed come the events of the second game, he's forced to investigate the strange "UMA" events caused by the Neo Mu Empire, and thusly is kept mostly out of the way bar some exposition. By the third game, he's aware of Rockman's secret identity thanks to his involvement with the Satella Police, and while he expresses some surprise, he accepts that Subaru and War-Rock don't mean any harm and are generally doing good, and verbally supports their endeavors.
Hyde/Phantom Black (Dark Phantom) --------> Kurage and 'Kraken' (Fake No. 4 'Stealth Kuragen') ------> 'Stealth Kuraken'
Hyde is the first of the "Neo Mu Empire" fought in the events of the second game, and he constantly reappears to cause trouble for Rockman. Not particularly strong himself, he seems to prefer working with "scripts" that generally have a dark twist ending for whatever chaos he's plotting, and his role is to generally stir up chaos while searching for the OOParts and the ancient land of Mu. He gives out Murian lifeforms to other persons in order to have them cause chaos, but Rockman consistently foiling his schemes causes him to lose favor with Orihime. After several failed schemes, he hides out in the Bermuda Maze and watches as Rockman exhausts himself fighting with both Empty and Burai, before extracting the OOPart stuck in his body and returning to Orihime with the credit. In return, he's given a power boost, but is still defeated by both Rockman and Burai, the latter belittling him for being a worthless parasite sapping power from others.
In the third game, he reappears to cause more trouble, purposefully setting viruses on Rockman to awaken the Noise Control Program's true capabilities before infiltrating WAZA during Queen Tia's attack on it. He takes Dr. Yoiri and Kizamaro hostage, threatening to disrupt Luna's reassembly and the safety of Rockman's other friends if the now completed Noise Program isn't handed over to him. However, when Harp Note and Taurus Fire help Rockman stand back up to him, he flees into the main computer, where he's defeated by Rockman yet again. Afterwards, Phantom Black seems to commit suicide by dropping himself off the wave platform, but War-Rock notes that he'll likely be back at some point.
Phantom is one of the many mass-produced EM lifeforms made by Ra Mu, and thus doesn't have much of a personality beyond the apparent maliciousness he shows in his brief dialogue. The depictions of the Phantom lifeform in the Nanska Lines depicts them as EM beings created to act as advisers and strategists.
Gori Monjirou (Rich Dotcom) -------> Semimaru and 'Locus King' (Fake No. 3, Hell Cicada King) -------> Hell Cicada
Gori is a ruthless businessman that believes money is the key to making the world go round, and so employs ruthless tactics when it comes to business deals. He's found trying to buy the well-known Grizzly Peak resort, and with rumors of an Abominable Snowman and snowslide injuries, the hotel is in the red and struggling. It turns out that he'd received an Ancient Star Carrier from Hyde containing a Yeti Murian being, and so was using that to cause the ruckus at Grizzly Peak. When he attempts to cause a blizzard and injure the celebrity skier there, Rockman's able to stop him before major damage is done, and leaves him to be arrested.
Yeti is one of the many mass-produced EM lifeforms made by Ra Mu, and so doesn't have any personality beyond any apparent maliciousness shown in his brief bit of dialogue. The depictions of the Yeti lifeform in the Nanska Lines depicts them as EM beings created to act as soldiers to help keep the peace.
Kyu Demegawa/Brachio Wave (Gerry Romero/Plesio Surf) -------> Ka Ninja and 'Shadow Mosquito' (Fake No. 2, Shadow Mosquito Ninja) -------> Mosquito Ninja
Kyu is the host of the world famous Electopian show "Mystery Investigations," which investigates mysterious phenomena around the world. Recently, they've been drawn to Dombra Lake due to the appearance of a mysterious lake creature nicknamed "Dossy," and have been running multiple shows on it. Kizamaro happens to be the first witness to it after being dropped there by Solo's Kamikakushi, and so ends up being prominently featured on the show. It turns out that the original Dossy sighting was actually a false sub made by Kyu in order to boost ratings, and on Kizamaro finding out, he's locked into the sub itself and then trapped at the bottom of the lake when Kyu is offered a more...appealing way to bring out a 'Dossy.' Hyde gives the man a Brachio Murian being and allows him to Wave Change with it, and he becomes so enamored with the power that he decides to attempt sinking the entirety of the Dombra Lake village in a show of power. Rockman is able to stop him and save Kizamaro before the flooding becomes too severe, and he is left to be arrested.
Brachio is one of the many mass-produced EM lifeforms made by Ra Mu, and seems to have almost no personality to speak of, as he doesn't even express any desire beyond asking how he may serve his new master. The depictions of the Brachio lifeform depicts them as EM beings created to assist in underwater espionage.
Nanska Village Chief Agame Asa/Condor Geograph (Shaman/Terra Condor) -------> Rokojuro and Condor ----------> ???
--Certain Names Pending
The Chief of the Nanska village has only the best intentions for his people, and regrets that they are not as technologically advanced as those around them. He wants to keep them from what he sees as stagnation that will bring them to their end, but his good intentions end up paving the way to hell when Gonta falls from the sky thanks to being chucked through Solo's Kamikakushi. Thanks to Gonta's memory loss due to the fall, and the simple people thinking that Gonta fell from Mu itself, he places the boy as a herald and a mouthpiece to help stir the population into developing further. When Subaru and the others come to get him back, however, and eventually manage to return his memories to him after saving him from an enraged Solo (furious at the blatant falsifying of his culture), Agame is furious at his powerlessness to stop them. It is then that Hyde gives him the Condor Murian lifeform in exchange for information on a possible location of the lost continent of Mu, and Agame uses the opportunity to kidnap Gonta and his friends, leaving Rockman to go save them. After his defeat, Gonta helps him figure out that the simplicity and nature of his village is its best feature, and that it doesn't necessarily need to evolve to match up with other countries, and he's left to happily watch over his people.
Condor is one of the many mass-produced lifeforms made by Ra Mu, and seems to have almost no personality to speak of, as he doesn't even express any desire beyond asking how he may serve his new master. The depiction of the Condor lifeform depicts them as EM beings created to guard the skies around Mu.
Kenta Yagi (Kidd Gruff) and Goat/Kung Foo Kid (Goat Foo) --------> Ponta and Tanuki -------> Tanuki Leaf
Kenta is an optional boss who recognizes Subaru as the "Rockman who defeated Andromeda." It's not said where he met Goat or Goat's origins, and there is little overall information about him, as he's merely an insert of a contest winner's design for a boss.
Solo/Burai (Solo/Rouge)----->Don/Don Thousand
Additional: Laplace---->'Barian'
Solo is an antagonist that appears in the second game. He takes affront at Subaru's strong affection for his bonds, and picks fights with him several times during the storyline. Unlike Subaru, Solo finds strength in remaining alone. He takes this to the extreme of obtaining the "Indie Proof", which constantly surrounds him with a Denpa barrier that repels everything. It is soon revealed that he is the last remaining survivor of the lost continent of Mu, and the sole heir to its many wonders. His main goal is to find what happened to cause the continent of Mu to fall, and to preserve as many of its technologies as he can in an effort to keep them out of undeserving hands. Solo is able to Denpa-Henkan without a Denpa partner and only from sheer willpower, due to his heritage. His aversion to bonds is explained by his childhood-as a child, he was able to see the Wave World and Denpa Waves. This ability, as well as the ability to Denpa-Henkan, caused him to be seen as a monster by many people. They soon ganged up in groups and attacked him-but only in groups. When Solo sought them out for revenge, he found that they were cowardly and weak on their own. Solo becomes Subaru's main rival and claims that they will neer see eye to eye, despite Subaru's many attempts to help and befriend him. In the third game, Solo grudingly admits that while he still doesn't agree with Subaru's idea of friendship, he acknowledges his strength to protect his bonds. He denies Subaru's claims that he indeed does have a bond to protect-his bond with Mu, rebuffing him and telling him to stop acting like Subaru understands him.
Laplace is implied to be one of Mu's Denpa inhabitants, released when Mu sank into the ocean. He becomes Solo's Wizard, however, as Solo can already Denpa-Henkan on his own, he transforms into a scimitar for Burai to use. He is very silent, talking in only static-y noises that only Solo seems to understand.
Doctor Orihime(Lady Vega) and Empty/Hiko clone (Hollow/Alistair clone) ----->Doctor Faker and 'Hart'/Haruto clone
Lady Vega is the mastermind of the second game. Not much is known about her until near the end of the game. It is revealed that she was the scientist who's work provided the basis of Matter Waves-waves that could be formed into solid objects and paved the way for Wizard technology in the third game. However, it is found that she vanished some time before the game starts, and mysteriously, several artifacts from Mu disappeared with her. It's not until Rockman confronts her near the end that she gives her reasoning as to why she's abusing the power of Mu, and intent on reviving Ra Mu Xa.
Her story begins as a poor girl in a small, poor country lead by incompetent leaders who easily fell to corruption. She vowed to escape that country and its corruption, and to do so, put all her effort into becoming a scientist. When it seemed she was going to leave, the corrupt leaders took her most important thing from her, leaving her inconsolable at her loss. The corrupt leaders were always at war, and her lifelong best friend and lover, Alistair, had been sent to war and was killed. Furious at the incompetence of the leaders, she vowed to find a way get Alistair back and eliminate any chance of someone taking him away again. She decided that she would eliminate all the fools in the world, that they only existed to serve the strong, and so, she decided to reawaken the power of Mu to do so-for this, according to its lore, is what the power did, rose Mu into the sky where the humans living there ruled over all others down below.
Empty is Lady Vega's sole Brother and only true confidant. Led inconsolable by her loss of her best friend and lover, Alistair, she strove to find a way to return him to her. This effort led to her making the very first Matter Wave-a clone of a human. However, the clone had none of Alistair's memories-it was merely an empty shell of the deceased human, leading to its name. Depressed by her failure, she strove to put Empty away and forget about him, but she couldn't. She knew he wasn't Alistair, but couldn't help in confiding in him, pouring all her emotions out to him, just as she would have to her lover-and soon came to care for him as his own being. She armored the Alistair-clone when it came time to bring her plans to fruition, making the mysterious robed figure that Rockman was constantly coming into conflict with as Vega's right-hand man. Despite her acceptance of him, Empty still constantly feels guilt that he cannot recall the memories of the one he was made to resemble, and, after sacrificing himself to save Vega from Ra Mu, makes a fervent wish to be able to talk to Vega the same way Alistair did-just once. This wish triggers a short visit from Alistair's spirit, who consoles the distraught Vega and encourages her to continue to live, to find happiness again. Vega, after this consolation from both Alistair and Rockman, decides she will return to Earth to atone for what she has done-one one condition: that Rockman comes back alive...they have plenty to explain. Of course, having made that promise to his friends already, Rockman readily agrees to keep it.
Ra Mu (Le Mu) ------------> HearteartH Dragon
Ra Mu is the 'god' of EM beings discovered by the ancient people of Mu due to their ability to see denpa. The creator of Earth's Wave World, it has the capacity to limitlessly produce EM beings with sentience and life, and this capacity was used by the Murians to raise the land of Mu into the sky and help build a powerful society that conquered the entire Earth. When the Murians devolved to warring amongst themselves, Ra Mu essentially was left to shut down and seal itself and the land of Mu in the Bermuda Maze until reawakened by Orihime and the OOPart. When it was defeated by Rockman, Orihime commanded it to crash Mu into the Earth, and with its last strength it proceeded to follow that command until Rockman outright destroyed it to pieces. With Ra Mu destroyed, the continent of Mu crumbles into pieces and falls into the ocean.
Auriga General (General Auriga) -------> ???
Auriga General is one of the many servants of Apollo Flame in the alternate future explored during the post-game. He is the only original servant, however, as all the others are merely more powerful replicas of all the previously fought bosses sans Ra Mu. He attempts to stall for time, trying to keep Rockman from reaching Apollo Flame before the latter regains his full strength. While he is defeated, he is successful at stalling for time, as by the time Rockman reaches him, Apollo Flame is fully recovered.
Apollon Flame (Apollo Flame) --------> ???
The ruler of the alternate dimension, Apollon Flame has successfully eliminated all human life on Earth, as well as most denpa lifeforms as well. Little is known about him, other than he was born of Ra Mu after Dr. Orihime awakened it. He claims to have no reason for his actions, only that his 'mother' programmed him to destroy all human life, and once his version of Dark Phantom succeeded in opening a gateway into the canon world, he aims to destroy the life there as well. From his dialogue, it could be inferred that the alternate world's Orihime could very well have been the one to create him from Mu's power. He is defeated by Rockman, however, and perishes.
In the third game, Apollon Flame's data is found by Sirius and restored, putting him in debt to the more powerful being. While he does serve Sirius loyally, he simply assumes that due to his own power, he will eventually rule supreme over Sirius and refuses Rockman passage to meet him. When Rockman defeats him once more, however, he allows him through as he's deleted.
Manabu Kino (Woody Boffin) --------> ??? ; Magnets/Spade Magnets (Magnes/Spade Magnes) and Coil ------> ???
Manabu is the leader of the Science Club at Subaru's school, a sixth grade student that seeks to launch a rocket into space. Helping him get a Giga Energy Card for the rocket is one of the first things that Subaru does that gets him involved in the plot of the third game, and after the events of the rocket launch he becomes a close brother to Subaru. During the final events of the game, it turns out that the rocket he launched into space actually gained a great deal of Noise resistance thanks to Magnet's rampaging before the launch, and so it's an essential piece in the plan to get Rockman to Meteor G. Throughout this endeavor to help Rockman out, he learns his true identity, and is awed by Subaru being the very Rockman that helped out his Wizard several weeks prior.
Magnets is the Wizard that monitors Manabu's rocket, and together with his "little brother" Coil that remains with Manabu on Earth, they help Manabu monitor the rocket's status. He is driven out of control with Tia and Jack's "Noise Card" to become Spade Magnets, and nearly manages to blow up Manabu's rocket in the process. He is stopped in time by Rockman before the rocket can self destruct and blow up the school and a great deal of Echo Ridge itself. Afterwards, he's his normal cheerful self, plus a new idolization of Rockman. He assists Rockman in getting up to Meteor G via the rocket he's controlling in space.
Suzuka (Belle) --------> Sanagi ; Ice/Diamond Ice ---------->???
Suzuka is a young child actress who's been recently gaining in popularity. However, she's nowhere near as popular as her co-worker Misora, and while Suzuka herself doesn't resent Misora at all-even looks up to her as a model-Ice, her manager Wizard, is far more ambitious and resents that Misora has more stardom despite all the talent she can see in her charge. Her fury comes to a head when Rockman comes in to stop a rampaging Ox Fire, and inadvertently ends up impressing the Manager Wizard filming the scene. He ends up giving Suzuka's part in the upcoming scene with Misora to Rockman himself, infuriating Ice and increasing her rage towards not only Misora, but Rockman as well. She's then given a Noise Card from Jack, who tells her he can give her the power to eliminate Misora and Rockman and let Suzuka shine as the star she's meant to be, and Ice goes on to do her best to sabotage Misora's upcoming concert. It comes to a head when she freezes the very stage itself, and with Misora doing her best to keep the crowd calm by having them focus on her music, Rockman goes in to stop her. After she's calmed down, Ice regrets her actions and resolves to be a more reasonable manager for Suzuka, especially once Misora attempts to cover for her actions on the stage when the Satella Police come investigating.
Strong/Club Strong -------> ???
Strong is an independently functioning Wizard that runs the Environmental System in Shisaa Island. The environmental system protects the island from earthquakes that used to assault the island periodically, and has allowed it to flourish into a beautiful tropical vacationing spot. As he functions independently, Strong is very...well, strong, and is seen by most of the residents as a powerful authority figure. He's driven out of control by Jack and Tia with a Noise Card, and declares himself the absolute ruler of the island, before driving the environmental system out of control and allowing the island to be struck by earthquakes of increasingly strong magnitude. Rockman is able to stop him and bring him back to normal, but before Strong can inform him of who drove him out of control, he is permanently deleted by Joker.
Amachi manages to reconstruct Strong from the data that was scattered by the attack, however, not all of the data made it out intact. Amachi manages to patch enough data to work, but Strong's been rendered an emotionless shell of his former self, with no former memories to speak of. Throughout the rest of the story, however, conversing with him hints that he's starting to gain back a sense of his former self over time.
Moon Disaster (Moon Destroyer) ----------> ???
Moon Disaster is a prideful FMian who is a skilled fighter. However, when he blocks off a road in the Astro Wave, Rockman confronts him in order to open up the path once more. Little is known about where he comes from, but he is well known, and his pride is well justified.
Dr. Yoiri (Dr. Goodall) --------> Tsukomo Haru
Dr. Yoiri is an elderly lady who also happens to be the most renowned scientist in the world, particularly in the field of denpa studies. She is the lead scientist of WAZA, but despite this, she is very down to earth and almost motherly, giving affectionate and silly nicknames to War-Rock and Acid, and calling many of the older scientists by their full first names. She is called upon to help reconstruct Luna after she is blasted by Joker's energy attack and seemingly killed, but in fact manages to figure out that Luna is merely scattered along the Wave World as data, her barest conscious held together by the strength of her bonds with the others. Thanks to her efforts, she's able to not only hold off the invasion by quickly reconfiguring a still in-development "Noise Canceller" into a "Copy Canceller" to destroy all of the War-Rock clones at once, but still manage to reconstruct Luna thanks to the aid of the bonds between her and her friends. Afterwards, she heads the research crew in other efforts to stop Dealer from effectively taking over the world.
Jack/Jack Corvus----->Gauche and 'Corvus'----->Corvus Wing
Jack is one of the main antagonists in the third game. A short, irritable boy, he is at first cold and indifferent to everyone except his older sister, Queen Tia. He is forced to go undercover and befrend Subaru in order to learn about the source of his powers as Rockman, and Subaru immediately identifies with him, as he attempts to avoid everyone on his first day in class. However, as he hangs around the others more, he appears to begin to grow a connection with them-it is promptly endangered by the fact that Subaru finds out that he and his sister are members of the evil organization, Dealer. Jack decides to fight the unwilling Subaru. Jack reveals his reasons for fighting-Dealer will grant his and his sister's wish. Back when they were young, they were the children of a ruler who ruled a small, but technology advanced kingdom. Soon, neighboring countries invaded their country to obtain their technology, and Jack and Tia were made orphans. Their wish is to wipe all technology from the face of the earth, so that there will be no more wars over it. Subaru defeats Jack twice, once at the school where he terrorizes his former classmates, and once again at Meteor G. After his second defeat, Jack rethinks his decision, deciding that their wish would only make more orphans like them. He chooses to become Subaru's ally and friend. Corvus attempts to take control over Jack's body after this decision, but he is deleted by Burai before he can do so.
Corvus is a high-profile criminal on Planet FM along with Virgo. It is implied that he, Virgo, and War-Rock have some history together, as the two were at one point strong enough to thoroughly beat War-Rock easily. He has the appearance of a orange bird like being wearing black armor, and fuses with Jack to become Jack Corvus, a winged being that can attack with ghostly fire and hard slashes. He is deleted by Burai when he attempts to take over Jack's body forcefully.
Queen Tia/Queen Virgo ----->Droite and 'Virgo'----->Virgo Fae
Queen Tia is Jack's older sister, and is also one of the main antagonists of the third game. Unlike her impulsive younger brother, Tia is controlled and calm, and is often the only one who can calm him down at times. She goes undercover with her brother, Jack entering as a transfer student in Subaru's class while Tia enters as a student teacher. She is the first to notice the slow but steady changes that the class' friendship is having on her younger brother, and thusly decides to attack the WAZA headquarters on her own, which results in her being captured after being defeated by a joint effort between Subaru and Ace. It is revealed through her that Ace was indeed once part of Dealer and that Ace wanted to escape with both her and Jack, because he and Tia loved each other. However, they clung too tightly to their dream, and instead choose to stay. She is defeated twice, like her brother, once at WAZA and once at Meteor G, which they had stolen control of from Mr. King. Eventually she decides to give up after her second defeat and finding out that Jack has chosen to give up on it before her. Virgo tries to retake her body after this decision, but she is deleted by Burai before she can do so.
Virgo is a high-profile criminal on Planet FM along with Corvus. She has a very sadistic personality, often enjoying others' pain. She has the appearance of a blue girl-like figure with purple armor and has control over water. She Denpa-Henkans with Queen Tia to become Queen Virgo, a regal being that can summon water in various forms such as a barrier, heavy rain, and dragons. She is deleted by Burai when she attempts to take over Tia's body forcefully.
Shido Akatsuki/Acid Ace (Arthur C. Eos "Ace"/Acid Ace)----->Mizael and KITE (Kaito Tenjou)-----> Galaxy Eyes
Ace is a member of the Satella Police, who Denpa-Henkans with the Wizard Ace to become Acid Ace, a particularly strong Denpa-Human. He is a rather quirky character, often found snacking on treats and appears light hearted one moment, serious the next. He gives Subaru the "Noise Program Black Ace/Red Joker (depending on the game)" when finding out that Subaru was somewhat able to resist the devasting effects of Noise. It was revealed that he was once a member of the evil organization Dealer, but betrayed them. He apparently dies trying to save the others from Joker's self-destruct, however, it is revealed in the credits that he was found and is currently recovering in the hospital.
Acid is the first man-made Denpa being created for Denpa-Henkan(the other being Joker). He is methodical and buisnesslike, although he does have the capablity to show affection. His calm nature often irritates War-Rock, as Rock assumes that Acid is talking down to him. Because Acid is man-made, his Denpa-Henkan wears down Ace's mind and body, only allowing their form to be usable for a short time. He was infected by Noise by Joker, causing him to become Acid Illegal (Acid Ace B). Acid, along with Joker, contain the original, perfect programs that are able to absorb and control Noise, meaning that the version Subaru uses is actually an inferior copy. Ace's design is the basis for one of the two "ultimate" finalizations featured in the third set of games, "Black Ace".
Mr. King ------> Mr. Heartland ; Joker ------> Black Mist (No. 96 Black Mist)/Black Storm (CNo. 96 Black Storm)
Mr. King, simply referred to as "King," is the leader of the group "Dealer," a terrorist group that is the main antagonist of the third game series. Their main tactics are to drive wizards out of control in order to accumulate the Crimson that is produced from their rampages. It is revealed that he is collecting vast amounts of Crimson in order to accumulate enough to control a large mass of Noise in outer space, known as Meteor G. By gaining control over this comet, he hopes to make the world leaders fear him enough to hand over control to him. Using it's powers, he can "Jam" any location he desires, flooding it with Noise Waves so strong that all signals to and from the station are blocked, rendering any device useless, as well as automatically killing any humans in the struck area. However, his efforts at controlling the comet are blocked by Subaru's father, who had been transformed into a mass of Denpa by War-Rock in an effort to help him escape prior to the events of the first game; and by Heartless, the former leader of the project dealing with Subaru's father's space station, and who had joined up with Dealer in order to spy on it as well as locate Subaru's father. He was dropped into a Noise Wave by Heartless, but survived by absorbing the Noise-controlling programs of his deleted Wizard, Joker. After the comet is sent to crash into the earth by Jack and Queen Tia, and Rockman attempts to destroy it, King makes a last ditch effort to stop him by fusing himself with Meteor G, becoming the Crimson Dragon.
Joker is Mr. King's wizard, one of the only two man-made Denpa life-forms that have the ability of Crimson-i.e.: to control Noise (the other being Acid). He has the appearance of a large, muscular, dark-skinned man dressed in red, regal attire. He highly disdains those he sees as week, deeming them unnecessary and has deleted several "weaklings" without remorse, including Luna, by turning them into data fragments and scattering them into the Wave World. He serves King loyally, for he hated being without a purpose for existing, and serving King gives him that purpose. After being defeated by Rockman, Joker, under King's orders, self-destructs in an attempt to kill all that are present (i.e.: Rockman, Acid Ace, Queen Tia, and Jack), but Acid Ace manages to absorb the attempt and keep the blast area restricted to himself and Joker only, seemingly giving up his life in the process. His Noise-controlling data is then used by King in order to survive being dropped into a Noise Wave. Joker's design is the basis for one of the two "ultimate" Noise finalizations featured in the third set of games, called "Red Joker".
Crimson Dragon ------------>Fake No. 1, Infection Baal Zebul-------> Baal Zebul
On finding that Meteor G is inevitably headed towards Earth, and that he can no longer use it to fulfill his desires, King merges himself with its core as a last act of spite, creating this monster. It proceeds to absorb Daigo's EM body as well, noting that his strength is great for being able to hold off the meteor for so long, and that his power is wasted not being merged with his. Rockman is forced to defeat the dragon itself in order to knock out King, but even after King is destroyed, the dragon still exists due to feeding off Kelvin's power. After driving the boy to the very last dregs of his strength, Rockman pulls out the strongest Finalization he's mustered up to date, and destroys the beast with a single Noise Force Big Bang. Afterwards, the dragon is finally gone, and Rockman is able to destroy the core of Meteor G before it hits the Earth.
Sirius --------> Elphias
Sirius is the final opponent in the third game's post-game content, and the only 'new' boss introduced in that scenario. A powerful being, he controls a large server that is dubbed the "Black Hole Server" and the server itself has a nigh-inescapable pull very much like its namesake. Sirius enjoys collecting powerful and unique data to store in a 'collection' that he keeps, and when he selects Planet FM as his next target, the FM King Cepheus sends a call out for help to his Brother, Rockman.
As Rockman continues to defeat his recreated bosses, Sirius is intrigued by his strength and freely invites Rockman to fight him in his server should he defeat all of them. When Rockman does reach him, he expresses interest in stripping Rockman of his will and turning the boy into one of his strongest toys, using Rockman to then destroy the very planet he was hoping to save. Naturally, Rockman expresses disgust and fights instead, managing to delete Sirius after a difficult battle. Sirius does not go down, however, without a fight, and transfers the Mu Metal stolen from Solo into Rockman's body just before he dies, forcing the two to fight each other for eternity over the item until one or the other is deleted.
